All through the night I’ll be watching over you
And all through the night I’ll be standing over you
And through bad dreams I’ll be right there baby
telling you everything’s going to be alright
When you cry I’ll be there baby
telling you were never nothing less than beautiful
So don’t you worry
I’m you Angel standing by

And It Just Keeps Coming
27 08 2007We had a pretty calm Friday. Kayla went out with my parents as usual and we had a nice little dinner. Saturday was spent cleaning the house ALL DAY. There is literally nothing else to say about Saturday, it was spent cleaning, end of story…….
Yesterday was also pretty fun filled. We went to church with my Dad, and then we went back to their place. My parents got new furniture, it was really nice. The pièce de résistance was a ridiculously comfortable Chaise Lounge Recliner. It was REALLY nice. We must have one. Then we went out dinner, then came home, did some more cleaning.
Today Kayla’s teacher is coming for a home visit. This is why we have been cleaning all weekend long. It’s not the end though. Sometime this week I have to go over to Bay Medical to get the films of the CT Scan I had last year, so I can take that down to U Of M for the appointment I have on the 7th. The day after that is our first game at Comerica park for the Tigers vs. Mariners game.
And I’m still doing multiple DVD projects at the moment, no pay for either of them. Jen is pretty upset over considering all the jobs put together would usually be paying me around 700 bucks all together. I can understand her anger, we’re hitting the bottom of the barrel as far as money woes go. I’m really hoping some paying jobs come out of this. If not then I think I’m just gonna give up on providing the service and just do work for EPIC when it needs to be done.

Tonight I Dine In HELL!
23 08 2007Not a lot going on around the homestead as of late, however I did catch a couple of movies in the middle of the nothingness. The first of which being the Frank Miller “Graphic Novel” adaptation of “300″.

It felt VERY similar to Sin City on a stylistic level. The story itself is based on an actual battle between Leonidas and Xerxes. And on a broader scale the Spartans and the Persians. Leonidas really did lead 300 spartans up against a massive Persian army, in a losing effort to try an protect Sparta from invasion. The movie is told from the Spartan side of the story and in a sensationalized and mythical fashion to boot. I can see why modern day Persians would be upset at their portrayal in this version, however I’m sure if told from the Persian side of the story it would offend modern day Spartans. Excuse me while I play “What A Wonderful World”.
At the end of the day, I thought it was a pretty good flick. Worth a rent, but not a buy on my part.
The next movie I checked out was “Sunshine”. The Sci-Fi movie that wouldn’t appeal to Sci-Fi fans.

They were right. It was okay for the most part. In fact I thought it was pretty damn good until the last third of the movie. To me it reeked of Event Horizon. By the time the movie was over with it turned into your average ho-hum slasher movie where the good guy saves the world at the end by sacrificing himself. I think it COULD have been good, but they went a pretty predictable route to finish the movie. And that is really saying a lot because it usually takes a lot for me dislike a movie or find it predictable. It was like Gothica all over again!
On the side. Kayla spent the night at Jen’s parents. Actually they picked her up on Tuesday morning and didn’t bring her back until 7:00pm last night. So Jen and I had a lot of noise free time, and it was well spent. Kayla got to visit her first Zoo on this little vacation and had tons of fun telling us all about the animals she saw there.

How did it get to be 4:00am?
19 08 2007So here it is, and here I am. 4:00am on a Sunday morning. CRIPES! Nothing is going on today so I guess I will run down what was the rest of my weekend.
On Friday we went out with my parents for dinner and groceries. We also stopped off at the local Baskin Robbins for some Ice Cream. All in all a pretty ho-hum day. We did get Kayla’s school information in the mail. She will be starting on September 10th in the afternoon class. We also did a lot of house cleaning. FUN!
Saturday we finished up the house work. Jen went out with her parents to buy Kayla some school clothes. And Iwent out with the guys for their first day of training with the new EPIC ring. The ring looked fantastic and everyone did a great job for their first time out. I can’t wait to see how everyone progresses. I came home to a pretty small dinner and some homemade sugar free apple pie (Jenny is the best). I tried going to sleep, but the best I could muster was a lot of tossing and turning.

One Ring To Rule Them All
12 08 2007I got my wedding ring yesterday. Who would have thought that a little thing ring would cost $200? Apparently people place more importance on that stuff then I do. Either way, I’m happy to have it. Jen and I are now just a couple of steps away from picking out our date.

Kayla got her backpack as well. She is going to be starting school on the 4th and Jen and I are really nervous, and she is really excited. She also stayed with my parents on Friday night, giving Jen and I our first night alone in four years. I won’t lie, I really liked it.
I finally caught up on all the wrestling that was sitting on the computer, now I have to plow through a few movies. Most notably 300, and Sunshine. I also have the MST3K Movie on here which I have yet to watch.
