Vicariously Living Free

28 04 2008

My Dad wanted me to rip this movie/mini-series for his iPOD. It’s called The Long Way Round. It’s about Ewan McGregor, and his friend Charlie Boorman going on a motorcycle trip around the world. Bikes aren’t really my thing, but world travel has always been something I wanted to do.  The show really hooked me in.

I watched all seven episodes in a row without much of break. It was just one of those things you can’t stop watching. It really made you feel like you were on the trip with them.

In other news…………..

The Tiger’s remain hot/cold, I can’t seem to get any sleep these days, but HEY! HOUSE IS BACK TONIGHT~!

Second To Last Ain’t That Bad!

24 04 2008

The Tiger’s have won their last three games in a row. Last night they blew Texas out of the water 19-6. Cleveland didn’t play last night and they play a double header today because of a rain delay, that being said the Tigers are officially out of last place, the Indians now occupy that spot. Who would have thought these two teams would be fighting over last place!

The 14,000 Year Old Caveman Who Turned Out To Be Jesus

Watch it! RIGHT NOW! IT RULES~!!!

In other news, there isn’t much news. I finished the DVD of the first Epic show. It’s now for sale on the Epic Site (link located on the sidebar).

The Tiger’s are incredibly hit and miss as of late. They are 7-13, which I guess is better then 0-20. The pitching right now reminds me of years past (BAD THING) our ace sucks, Kenny Rogers hasn’t won a game, Willis is hurt (but wasn’t doing so well before then anyway), Bonderman & Robertson, are the same pitchers they were last year (BAD THING), and the bullpen is riddled with injuries. Our best pitcher is a kid from AAA who has pitched two games. Perhaps if he pitches every game for the rest of the year.

Good news is…………………HOUSE IS BACK WITH NEW EPISODES STARTING NEXT MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! YES! GOO GOD YEEEEESSSSSS!

COMEBACK KIDS

15 04 2008

ALRIGHT PUDGE! ALRIGHT TIGERS! 11-9 come from behind win! It will start coming back, keep the faith guys.

So it was a busy weekend. I got a PS3. It’s a great machine. It’s probably the least popular system out there right now. I’m not a Wii fan, and I still know people who have new Xbox’s that still suffer issues. I’m sure the PS3 library will expand soon enough.

I got MLB 08′: The Show which might just be the best baseball game I’ve ever played, it’s really really really awesome. I also picked up Ratchet & Clanks newest which is a fucking phenomenal platformer. I also got Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. So far I’m really unimpressed with how sloppy the game is when it comes to allowing you to simulate a wrestling match. I’m pretty sure it will be getting returned as soon as I can make it back to the game store.

1 Is The Greatest Number In The World

10 04 2008

Because it’s the number of wins the Tiger’s currently have. THATS RIGHT!

The Tiger’s swung the bats like I know they could. Renteria was on fire, Thames hit a two run homer, Guillen hit a solo shot, and Clete Thomas is having a fantastic start to his rookie year in the majors. Bondo even had a decent outing at the mound.

7 GAME WINNING STREAK HERE WE COME! Okay, probably not, but at least we have some confidence instilled in the team.

She’s Happy. That’s Good

7 04 2008

Kayla’s Birthday was good. We went out with my parents to eat, then we drove out to Saginaw and Toys R Us. We got her A big Magglio Ordonez poster, and Kid Tough Digital Camera, some kind of Unicorn thing, and her first bike! She was really excited for ride that thing around, something she did at great length over the course of the weekend.

We had her official party on Sunday. She got a lot more stuff, and had a blast with everyone.

In other news, the Tiger’s are 0-6~! The pressure has gotten to them, and they are playing like shit. I had a feeling that this was going to happen. It was in the back of my mind, but the thought was there. In 2006 they were the heavy favorite to win the World Series after nobody thought they could make it, and it got to them then, and they blew it. Before the season even started this year, they were picked by Sports Illustrated to win the World Series. For God’s sake just forget about SI, and forget about the media. Just have fun playing baseball guys. You’ll find your groove soon enough.
