Oh Oh Oh And Then This!

25 05 2008

Tigers won HUGE yesterday 19-2. Apparently they were to tired to provide any offense today (how is that possible)? Wings beat the Penguins 4-0 to go up 1-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Pistons on the other hand got served by Boston in Detroit. Boston is up 2-1.

We went to see the new Indiana Jones movie today. I wished it would have been a packed house. It really brought down the mood of the experience, but the Bay City Mall is a wasteland on Sunday afternoons apparently. The movie itself was a lot of fun, and it had all sorts of call backs to “Raiders” and “Crusade”. If I had to list them, this latest flick would end up in third behind the afore mentioned other two, and before “Temple”. Nothing could have made this movie bad to me though. Indiana Jones doing anything is really really awesome.

Oh yessssss………………………….HEROES IS COMING BACK (not soon enough).

This Is What’s Missing

24 05 2008

Jen and I downloaded a copy a the season finale of House. We completely forgot about it last Monday. But we watched a nice high quality version on the computer the other day.

It was by far the best episode of House I have ever seen, and that covers so much ground. This might, in fact, be the best season finale I have ever seen to a show. The story was great, the acting was off the scale good. We both got totally lost in the story, it was so depressing, but so well done that we can’t stop talking about it. It comes out on DVD in August and we can’t wait to get it, and re-watch it all over again.

As a matter of fact it was just this episode, the entire season of House this year has been excellent, perhaps the best season they have ever done (and this is coming from a guy who has “never seen a bad episode of House”).

In a short quip: How awesome was it seeing the Pistons come back to tie up the series in Boston?

Kayla had her preschool graduation the other day. Her teacher put on a very nice ceremony for everyone. Kayla was adorable.

It all went very well. I will probably be adding some video on here as well at some point (unless I forgot), let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

The weekend shall be a fun one. Despite the Tigers being back to their losing ways, the Pistons play game three tonight at the Palace, and the Wings start off the Stanley Cup playoffs at the Joe.

Tomorrow Jenny and I are going to see the new Indiana Jone flick. Words can’t describe how excited I am to see it. I would watch Indiana Jones sleep for two hours. SERIOUSLY!

I Suck

20 05 2008

So last night, Jen and I are channel flipping, trying to find something to watch when I all of a sudden realize that we missed the season finale of House!!!!!!! They had moved to Monday’s at 9pm for the rest of the season (following the writers strike) and I guess we had just not adjusted to the new schedule. Usually we set a reminder on the TV but Sunday was such a busy day that I guess we just forgot. Anyway, it will be another week until I can catch it on Hulu or Fox.com. I’m hoping a torrent for it pops up somewhere between now and then.

Also congrats to the Red Wings. They beat the Dallas Stars in Texas last night 4-1 to move on to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Tonight the Tigers try not to suck, and the Pistons try to go up 1-0 on the Boston Celtics.

Prince Casper Van Dien

19 05 2008

Jen, Dan, and I went to go see the latest Chronicles Of Narnia flick “Prince Caspian”. I thought it was a really great movie, worthy of the praise it’s been getting. I can see where some of the negative reviews come from however.

It was indeed a lot darker then the first installment, and I am awaiting the third (due in 2010). This is but the first stop in our on going series of movies we plan to see this summer. Iniana Jones is next up. We are checking that one out next weekend.

Raiders came out before I was born, and I had only seen a glimpse or two of Temple Of Doom. My Dad took me to see The Last Crusade which got me hooked on the previous two movies, and I’ve been a huge Indy fan ever since. Words can’t describe how excited I am to see Harrison Ford dawn the Fedora one last time.

Of Tigers And Pistons

16 05 2008

Okay, I really don’t plan to talk about the Tigers. They suck so bad right now, I’ve actually stopped watching games. I haven’t given up on baseball, the games are just hard to watch, so I read about them instead for the time being.

The Pistons on the other hand beat the Magic and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. I’m guessing it will be against Boston (who had the best record in the NBA this year). GO PISTONS~!

Outside of sports, not much going on really. Jen and I got our GOVERNMENT STIMULUS MONEY today. We couldn’t be more excited. Nothing says fun like STIMULATING THE ECONOMY~!

…And The Winner Is

I feel pretty comfortable in this proclamation. I, in fact called this in 2004 when he was the key note speaker at the DNC for John Kerry.

Hillary appears to be a sore loser, and plans to stay in the race until the end of time despite it making no sense what-so-ever.
