That’s Me

So yesterday I watched “The Wrestler”. The film is getting a lot of Oscar buzz and it’s based on pro wrestling which I have a love/hate relationship with.

If you love pro wrestling this is a must watch. If you are a movie fan it is also a must watch. The movie rang incredibly real and true to me. The acting was really really good. I was very impressed. The character of Randy “The Ram” really hit close to home for me. I see myself in the same light that his daughter sees him.

I was impressed overall with the way everything was done from the writing to the shooting to the edting. I certainly hope it gets some nominations from the Academy.

History Has Been Made, My World Has Changed II

Somehow the Lions have managed to finally do it. Most Lion fans would tell you that it’s been building up to this for a long time. Despite the fact that the Lions made NFL history by becoming the first team to ever go 0-15 surpasing the Bucs from their first season in the 70’s when they went 0-14 (the league has since added two games).

The Lions officially capped it off by going 0-16 today in a loss to the Packers. I will be honest. I was hoping for the loss, if your going to go down you might as well go down in a big way. That being said I wasn’t exactly jumping up and down when they lost. I feel bad for a team that has had to deal with really really really really really really bad management over the last few years.

This years team tried I honestly think they went out there and gave it their all. They were just out manned and out gunned every single week. And it is a culmination of all the bad management moves over the last several seasons.

I sincearly hope that the team can make good on the draft picks they are given. And hopefully now that they have hit the absolute bottom that they can start clawing their way back to something respectable.

It Was Worth It

So Christmas has come and gone. Jen and I are taking the tree down tomorrow. The heavy debt stuff really sucks but it was worth it to see how much Kayla enjoyed everything. Grandma and grandpa Arnold got her a purple Scooter~! and a Barbie Car. We got her some books, movies, DS games, and that Hannah Montana Guitar Hero game. My parents got her the Barbie Dream House she wanted ever so much all year. The look on her face was worth the wait. Pictures to follow at the end of the post.

Last week the Lions went to a historic 0-15~! No team in NFL history has ever had a record that bad. They look to further that history by going 0-16 in Green Bay tomorrow, I shall be watching!

Fuck That Last Post

Christmas was great! We had an awesome time, so I am going to forget all of the stuff that was posted before Christmas and I will come back later with an exteneded Christmas post!

FUCKED

That’s what we are. $96 dollars in the bank with $104 dollars left to pay on rent and another $100 left to pay on the phone and internet. The internet we need by the way. Jen and I’s schooling is online only. Without it our classes get dropped our financial aid vanishes and we get charged more fucking money~! Oh plus we are behind on cable (which we are dropping but we will still have to pay) and the electric bill, oh yeah and our cards are maxed out!  We need money like super desperately right now.

FUCK LIFE!

It Snowed

To put it lightly….It snowed quite a bit. We got a good 11 inches yesterday. That wasn’t to much fun to dig out of. There isn’t a lot of stuff to write about really. We are in the process of trying to get the house in ship shape for Christmas time. All of the stuff we ordered for Christmas did get here on time so that’s good. We got all of our shopping done well before most that we know so that is definitely a plus.

Tomorrow is Jen and I’s last day of class. We only get one break a year when you taking online courses and it’s for Christmas. We get two weeks. Personally I am considering doing some work ahead of schedule just to give myself some breathing room.  I still have no idea what I got in my last two classes. I was citting on “C’s” last time I looked so I am hoping the finals can raise them up in to the “B” level.

We are suppose to get more snow on the way for tomorrow, hopefully it won’t be as a bad as yesterday.
