Yup….This Sucks

The House/Heroes double shot on Monday once again brought the goods. House continues to tease something big happening but nothing has so far. So either they have something massive planned for the end of season five or they don’t have a lot of ideas. The season has been good but a bit of a down grade from season four.

Heroes continues to be sturdy with it’s story. I like where it’s going for the most part. I remain skeptical about weather or not they are rehashing the plot of the first season.

I caught whatever it was that Jen had. It sucks to have it, I am not a fan. I hate being sick. I am actually feeling better today, but not by a large margin or anything.

Scrubs wasn’t on AGAIN last night thatnks to a presidential address. It was a good address, but COME ON! Leave Scrubs alone!

Finals for my Accounting and Philosophy classes are due on Sunday…… I can only hope that I feel better before I have to finish them up.

I should also mention that Jen invited my parents over for dinner on Sunday, and she made THE BEST POT ROAST EVER! Don’t mess with crock pot food it will kick your ass!

Ode To Conan

Last night was THE LAST EPISODE of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Indeed this was a sad day for TV.

Yes I know……. Conan is taking over the Tonight Show slot from Jay Leno and that is cool as hell and I can’t wait to watch. I more then likely won’t be the same though. The show itself was classic Conan. They showed so many good clips including the 1864 baseball skit~! It’s good to know that he plans to be the same ol’ Conan though.

Jen got me NHL ‘09 for Valentines Day, it arrived a couple days ago.

So far it has lived up to it’s moniker as the best NHL game in the history of ever. Really fun game and just the right amount of frustrating as well. It’s nice to not be able to breeze through a game, even on the rookie game setting.

SPRING TRAINING IS HERE~!

And so far there is good news coming out of Lakeland, Florida! Triple-A’er Rick Porcello was apparently VERY impressive and the pitching staff thinks he has Major League “stuff” already! Joel Zumya also apparently is looking better then he has since 2006! Hopefully these are good sign that Detroit will rebound and have a good year this year.

The first spring training game is in four days against the Atlanta Braves! GO TIGERS!

Cleaning After Midnight

I should not that it is currently 12:21AM here on America’s east coast and I am still awake. IN FACT I still have a lot of cleaning to do. You see, in our apartment complex we have inspections on a somewhat regular basis. Our place is a total disaster and mess. So Jen and I are working into the wee hours of the morning to get it all done.

Well House was damn excellent last night.

Finally got to watch it in HD as well so that was a treat. This season just gets better and better every week. I swear up and down that this is one smart TV show. At this point I find it impossible that I could ever be tired of this show.

Heroes has also been great this half. I would say they have gone 3 for 3 on episodes thus far.

Valentines Day was fun! I got Kayla flowers, and I got Jen some chocolates and a pearl earing and necklace set. She got me NHL ‘09 for the PS3~!

Spring training for baseball is starting soon. I can’t wait to watch me some Tigers games in HD~~! Ahhhhhh……….well back to cleaning I suppose…..I am not looking forward to this.

Screwed…Literally By Screws!

Okay. I voted for Obama but his press conference on Monday caused the FOX to NOT air House last night. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! Interrupting my favorite TV is not the change I voted for Barack!

Well at least we had Heroes to fall back on and it has been freaking awesome since returning for the “Fugitives” stage of Season 3.

I enjoyed the first half of the season well enough I suppose but I haven’t been totally digging the show like I did in the first season. This half of season three appears to be coming back to that season one form.

Oh yeah! I went back down to Ann Arbor today for a follow-up on my surgery from last June. Turns out that atleast one of my screws broke (perhaps two). At this stage in the recovery process this is not such a good thing. I have to go back under the kinfe to get it repaired. Everything should be okay after this one. The doctor said with all the work they did the first time there was a good chance that my body would have a hard time healing all of it perfectly.

That’s the new TV we picked up. Got a new stand and a Blu-Ray player as well. Let’s just get this out of the way now….. I LOVE BLU-RAY!!!!!

Most of Sunday was spent in front of this great TV. Superbowl was fun to watch. Despite the lack of cable and High-Def.

House brought the goods for it’s 100th episode! I was expecting some sort of major plot direction but apparently it was just wrapping up some on going stories leading into some new ones.

Darn! Another picture! Heroes returned and I was actually really happy with this new direction the show is taking. I’m still going with a “wait and see” kind of feeling on the show. It has it’s ups and downs and hopefully the show is starting to pick up steam again.

Scrubs was a lot of fun tonight. I am really enjoying the season so far, even if nothing has really stood out for me.  Gah I guess that’s it for now. Here’s to me having something to write about other than TV shows and movies.
