Best I’m Not

October 29, 2007

On Saturday my parents came back to take Kayla with them out to Saginaw. Jen was working a late shift that day so I went with them. We went out to Sam’s Club looking for something (I don’t remember which). Then we went to this bike shop (the name of which I can’t remember). Kayla had fun sitting on all the four wheelers.

Then we went to Toys R’ Us. She had a blast. I picked up Heroes Season 1~! Then we had to go to Babies R’ Us for some not so much fun. Then back home.

Sunday went not so great. I didn’t go to service with Jen and her parents. I’m not so sure I wish to write about that stuff so openly though.  The Lions beat The Bears to take them to 5-2. The Red Sox swept The Rockies to win the World Series. They won game four 4-3.

Kayla goes back to school today and I have to call U of M Medical to see what the hell is going on with the foot brace. It’s been more then a month.

Hey Cat Stevens

October 26, 2007

Just a quick passing reminder. House was awesome on Tuesday. Foreman is back working with House. Next weeks episode looks really good.

Jen, Kayla, and myself watch Shrek The Third.

We all thought it was really cute. I’m a big fan of the Shrek series. In my opinion it’s much better the the Austin Powers series which (to me) hasn’t held up well over time. I never expect much going into a kids movie or a movie aimed at kids, but Shrek always manages to make me laugh and I always leave feeling like I’ve watched a movie that also appeals to me.

Dan came over last night. I checked out his new PSP we grabbed some McDonalds and Taco Bell for everyone and we rented Knocked Up.

This was a great movie. If you can withstand all the dick and fart jokes that is. I thought that’s what made this so good. They managed to perfectly blend the jokes with the nice overall story. I’ve been told they have done the same exact thing with The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Superbad (both of which I now intend to check out because of this gem).

We also ordered Spider-Man 3 last night. Apparently nobody likes the full screen format anymore. Well until somebody buys me a Widescreen TV the widescreen format can fuck off!

One Week Later

October 23, 2007

So……No posts in a while. It’s been a pretty bland week. The Red Sox came back from being down 3-1 to beat the Indians to move on to the World Series to face the Rockies. Game 1 is one Wed.

Heroes and Journeyman were excellent as per usual last night. All I can do is tell you to watch. Which you should. Every week. FOREVER! Literally nothing is new otherwise. HORRIBLE! Here’s a look at next weeks Heroes EP.

Tuesday Night……Not So Much

October 17, 2007

So we were all excited for House. Turns out, we forgot House was preempted for the Red Sox/Indians game four match up. To make matters worse the Sox lost again.

Jen and I end up in a pretty big argument. She has a lot on her shoulders lately and I shouldn’t have kept baiting her in to talking with me about things. It really only made matters worse. We’ve both been really frustrated with things lately. We tried as best we could to move on and put it behind us.

I desperately need a job. Anyone know a place that will employ someone who can’t be on their feet no longer then three hours a day?

Good TV On A Monday Night

October 16, 2007

Heroes has reached episode number four. This right about where season one started to take off a little bit. It was no different this year. I think it was the best episode thus far. The wonder twins meeting up with Sylar was a cool way to tie in some storylines (which is usually when Heroes starts to shine). Next weeks episode also looks really sweet as well. Also Journeyman is really starting to turn into an interesting watch.

At first we though it was a little interesting, but probably wouldn’t keep our interest long enough to keep tuning in. However, this is week number four and the show keeps getting more interesting every week. It’s on right after Heroes.

Kayla went to the local fire department as a field trip for her school. She had lots of fun and even scored a free stuffed animal along with a lot of other cool (for a four year old) stuff.

Also congrats go out to the Colorado Rockies who swept the Diamondbacks to win the NLCS~! I’m rooting for you Rockies. The year the Rockies debuted I was so excited about new a new baseball team that I bought a Rockies cap. The only other cap from a baseball team I’ve ever owned.

Don’t Forget My Storage!

October 13, 2007

Kayla went to spend the night at my parents on Friday afternoon. She packed up all of stuff in a small piece of travel luggage which she lovingly referred to as “storage” 🙂

Jen worked a late shift and didn’t get out of work until 7:00 pm. I walked down to Kroger’s and met her there. We picked up some stuf for dinner then went home.

Jen made some homemade French Bread Pizza~! It was really awesome to say the least. We finished watching the Back To The Future Trilogy, and went to bed. Not to exciting, but it was relaxing. Jen had to work this morning though, which sucked. But we are trying to save money for Christmas Presents.

We are going to take out our Air Conditioner today. FINALLY!  Certainly nothing to write home about though.
